Dr. Theresa Bartlett Dr. Theresa Bartlett

A Norfolk native, Dr. Bartlett earned her Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, her Master's Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences on scholarship from the University of Southern Mississippi, and her Doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, part of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a graduate extern ship at The Shea Clinic and Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee, and her professional internship in Richmond, Virginia, at the Balance and Ear Center.

In 1994, Dr. Bartlett returned to the Tidewater area as an audiologist with Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she provided services at both The Hearing and Balance Center at DePaul Hospital as well as the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. In 2001, Dr. Bartlett left EVMS and became an audiologist for the Norfolk Public Schools, with whom she still consults.

In 2003, Dr. Bartlett and Dr. Molly Howlett began Hearing Services of Hampton Roads, a private practice in Virginia Beach designed to provide the best hearing healthcare services in the area, as well as to educate people about hearing loss and hearing-related services. In 2005, Hearing Services of Hampton Roads merged with Virginia Eye Consultants to form Virginia Hearing Consultants.

Dr. Bartlett is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Tidewater Audiology Society.

Dr. Bartlett and her husband Richard live in Norfolk with their two children, RJ and Karis, who continue to teach her the importance of listening to others.

Dr. Howlett earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Marywood University in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, and her Master of Science in Audiology from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland.

She completed her clinical fellowship at Ear, Nose and Throat, Ltd. in Norfolk, and continued to provide services there for several years. In 1999, she joined Eastern Virginia Medical School as a Clinical Audiologist, providing services at the DePaul Hearing and Balance Center as well as the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. Dr. Howlett has also provided clinical services at the Department of Veteran's Affairs in Hampton, Virginia.

In 2002, Dr. Howlett earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, part of the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona. In 2003. she and Dr. Theresa Bartlett established Hearing Services of Hampton Roads, a private audiology practice dedicated to providing a personal and educational approach to hearing healthcare. In 2005, Dr. Howlett and Dr. Bartlett joined forces with Virginia Eye Consultants, and founded Virginia Hearing Consultants.

Dr. Howlett is certifIed by the American Speech and Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is actively involved in the Tidewater Audiology Society and currently serves as its president.

Dr. Howlett and her husband Danny reside in Norfolk. They enjoy boating and going to concerts.
